Lorenzo Lualdi

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano with an experimental thesis in the field of computational finite element simulation (FEM) for evaluating the mechanical efficiency of endosseous biomedical implants. He started dealing with Industrial Property in 2003.
After some company experiences first as a product specialist in the biomedical sector and later in the procurement of a leading Italian company in the power generation plant sector, he began working in IP in leading consulting firms in Milan, where he gained significant experience in all aspects of consulting.
Immediately fascinated by the legal aspects of this subject, he acquired special experience in drafting technical legal opinions regarding the validity and infringement of patents for invention, utility models and industrial designs. Beyond drafting and prosecuting patent applications, he currently deals with opposition and appeal procedures before the European Patent Office and he is one of the most active party technical advisors (PTA) in judicial and extrajudicial litigations in connection with patents, designs and know-how. Moreover, he is often appointed as court technical advisor (CTA) by the Court of Milan.
He is a member of AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle) and LES (Licensing Executives Society).
